afmThe Hycast® Rolling Slab Casting Technology is developed to produce ingots with optimized geometry and surface quality. Flexible moulds have been used within Hydro Aluminium for more than a decade. Moulds with fixed geometry may also be provided – an option for smaller dimensions.

The next generation of Hycast® Rolling Slab Casting Technology AFM is now available. AFM is abbreviation for Adjustable Flexible Mould. The new technology benefits from the patented flexible Hycast technology in addition the moulds have 300 – 400 mm adjustable range. The AFM technology will give superior ingot geometry over the whole mould adjustment range.
